Redemption Christian Ministries (RCM) held its first service
at Johnson Funeral Home on Beatties Ford Road in Charlotte, NC
in July of 2000 with just 7 people. It wasn’t long before the
word began to spread about the awesome preaching of Pastor
LeRoy K. Dunlap. Sunday after Sunday the membership grew and
we watched the growth of our ministries begin to bud.
Following the vision of our pastor, we began to look for a
larger facility. But we didn’t sit idle, while still at the
funeral home RCM Ambassador’s for Christ ministry began going
door to door sharing the gospel in our neighboring
communities. Just prior to our first anniversary, God opened
the doors for us to move into our current location, 301 W. 24th
Street.
The building was a warehouse and it was difficult to
envision that it could become a place of worship. But
fortunately, our Pastor held fast and galvanized the church to
a mighty effort. A beautiful sanctuary and place of worship
was created. But we hold fast to the knowledge that our work
is outside of the four walls of the church. Redemption has
several ministries geared to the uplifting and up-building of
the community. Some of which include:
Loaves and
Fishes (feeding ministry)
Youth
Ministry
Drama and
Dance Ministry
Ambassador’s for Christ (witnessing ministry)
Usher
Board
Extended
Hands (sick & shut in ministry)
Women’s
ministry
Men’s
ministry
Redemption’s heart for the community has grown in 2010 to
non-faith based projects since obtaining 501c3 status for the
RCM Community Development project.
We extend an open invitation for you to come, visit and
fellowship with us and if God lays it on your heart to be a
part of the ministry or support us financially please know
that all contributions are tax-deductible and will be used to
support the local area and its constituents directly
